Having said that, the ship and the experience exceeded my expectations on most every level. We don’t do trips like this often so please don’t consider me a veteran of such luxury tours. My wife and I just completed the Western Route offered aboard the M/Y Passion Yacht, cruising among the Galapagos Archipelago islands. Or if we decided to go back and do a different route, this would be the only game in town for us. Hugely recommended if you are 'doing' The Galapagos - this has to be the best boat on the circuit. The cream on a very fancy cake and we were all grateful for the way he looked after us during the week slowly building up our tolerance to the heat and stamina.Įveryone was in awe of this cruise, the boat and the staff. Our cruise also had the services of Robert Christen as guide - and he was, simply put, outstanding. Roberto was also an absolute stalwart - always there somehow. Go to breakfast, come back and your room was made up - and very nicely too. Special mention must be made of Daniel the room fairy. Not quite 1-1 but as near as made no difference. I've probably got this wrong but for my cruise there were 13 guests served by 11 crew. The chef, apparently, enjoys himself so much that it is not uncommon for him to stay on rather than take his shore leave.

Allergies and other issues didn't even rate as a speed bump and our group had some challenges in addition to mine. Cabins are spacious - and we didn't have a suite before you go down that route.įood - outstanding. Everything about the boat is customer centric. How I found this I forget but so glad I did. I don't like crowds - defined as more than 15-20 guests - on a boat so finding something that met that criteria and wasn't a converted dive boat that called itself luxury but was in fact totally the opposite was going to be a challenge.

Unfortunately our weeks' cruise on this gorgeous boat has probably set such a high bar that any future cruising is likely to fail by a huge margin.
