Should have done that from the start and skipped this place.Number of employees: eight therapists, plus Rebekah, who is now our office and marketing guru. We left after a short time, and went to get a nice dinner. Money seems to win over all else in this place and I do NOT recommend it at all. Poor Food and Wine is the 2nd, and spilling bodily fluids in your pool is a big one too. I know that this is not the fault of management, but you have a guard for "food" and not for this? Priorities should be that ALL guests are comfortable with the surroundings. I'm not a prude, and we laughed it off at the time, but in retrospect, that is not what I came to see or do. We witnessed 2 couples doing so in the pools (at different times) and another couple in one of the "relaxation" rooms. They have someone (a guard of sorts) standing at the doors to be sure that people are not bring the food out of this area - it is my suggestion that they have more "guards" to keep people from having sex in all of the areas as well. I definitely do not understand how people are saying the food is good - it was NOT (stale bread & foccacia, sour fruit, old cheese), and the wine they served was terrible (& CHEAP as well). You cannot take your food anywhere but the buffet area, and while I understand that, then be sure that there is seating for all. When it came time to eat, there was NO ROOM to do so. There were so many people, you are continually bumping into each other. While the facility itself is very beautiful, overbooking this place is the main issue, and should be addressed by management. Going to a Spa is supposed to be relaxing. I have been to quite a few spas in Italy which are far better than this, so I will revert back to those from now on.ģ of us in our group. So, we had to leave, and I certainly wouldn’t visit again. We were told absolutely not - if we left, we could not come back in, even though we still had 2 and 3/4 hours left, and she is diabetic. I explained that my daughter is diabetic, so would it be possible to leave the spa for half an hour as there is a cafe just on the corner, and I could get her a quick something to eat. I’m used to going to spas where there is some sort of café/restaurant, or provision of fruit, fruited water, etc, dotted around, and I probably shouldn’t have made the assumption. Around 9.15 pm I enquired if there were any food facilities and received a very abrupt 'no, there is nothing'. Alarmingly, I had a drink taken out of my hand as I was pouring it by a very rude member of staff who accused me of having a 3rd drink, when it was my first. You’re handed a tray of snacks at the door – a small offering - you get told where to sit, and they police the drinks area to make sure you only have your allotted 2 drinks. You get a 30 minute time slot which is written on your wristband and checked when you arrive at the designated aperitif room, so you can’t deviate. The aperitif service is resentful in every way. Couples very heavy with the PDAs all around us, and it put us off going into the experience rooms which people seemed to be using for experiences that really belong in private. Eg, have never seen so many people on their phones in and out of the water. Spa etiquette isn't followed by most guests. The place was packed with a changing area on par with a busy public swimming pool in the school holidays.

He was the only staff member with any customer service skills so they obviously wheel him out for front of house, because it was downhill from there. Lovely décor/facilities, with well-manicured lawn areas and places to rest, and the gentleman who checked us in was helpful and welcoming. Do not come here.īooked the evening under the stars, from 7pm – midnight. I might also add, we were the only “non Italian” colored people in the reception area. Our hotel had a seemingly nice spa menu so I would recommend you check out a hotel spa before booking here. It is also 30 min outside of the main city away from the Duomo so save your taxi money. Didn’t get the experience and quite frankly, it was so busy I can’t imagine the place is clean or that great anyway.

We can’t accommodate, so we can give you spa entrance or nothing at all.” Now- there are 2 of us, why were both appointments canceled you ask? The manager tells us… “I don’t know. Front desk girls don’t speak English and are incredibly rude. We arrived 20 min prior to our 75 min massage and spa entrance, only to be told that our appointments were canceled because a masseuse called out from work. I am in utter shock at how poorly we were treated. All of the other bad reviews? Believe them. This was the most horrendous experience I had in my entire 3 week trip to Italy.
